Supported Living Services
New Dawn Support Services provides Supported Living to people in Northern California and Consultation and Training anywhere needed.
We are currently funded to provide services by Redwood Coast Regional Center.
New Dawn provides Supported Living Services to individuals who are referred by a Regional Center and will benefit from living in their own homes. The nature and severity of an individual’s disability does not exclude them from services.
To accomplish our mission of supporting individuals with disabilities, we provide a full range of services that are designed around what each person wants and needs. New Dawn is founded on the principles of Person Centered Thinking and implements these concepts not only to guide service provision but organizational structure as well.
Employement first community integration
Our mission at New Dawn Support Services Day Program is to provide skill, training, direction and support for people with disabilities in the arena of a Day Program in any manner that is reasonable and determined by the individual and their circle of support
Our Day Service provides community based instruction for Reginal Center individuals.
Our Day Service provides training as needed in: community access and integration, recreation/leisure, vocational/work, behavior management, and coping skills in natural community environments.
​Our Sub-Mission is to use Person Centered tools in order to support persons in a way which maximizes learning and skill development while working towards the highest quality of life possible.
Crisis Response Service
By utilizing the same principals outlined in Person Centered Thinking and Pro-ACT, New Dawn provides a service aimed at understanding the needs of an individual in crisis and assisting their circle of support in meeting those needs. All behavior is communication no matter the complexity. Understanding the communication in the ways it is presented and teaching new skills to cope and communicate in a more effective way is how New Dawn helps to minimize the risk of crisis.
